The work has begun! We are working in the fascinating city of Wuxi. Mike is teaching social studies and Karen working as librarian for the district. The transition from Hong Kong is finalized. The work here is beginning.
Wuxi experienced some strong winds and rain at our arrival. My Nandi friends from Lemoru, Kenya would say this is a sign of good things to come. I am excited to see how it all works out.
We are currently busy at International School of Wuxi preparing for the new school year and adjusting to the new environment. Our apartment is spacious and reflects 1970's Vegas styling.
Our mornings begin around 5am. The pace is much slower than Hong Kong. However, fireworks are blasting routinely through the day and night. Today at 6:15am the cracks, wizzzz and boom set the day in motion. I love it. All that is missing is free balloons.
Brady is making friends and has begun volleyball. She has hope to be the setter. She is all smiles with a few new friends with whom she is enjoying the last days of summer.
WeChat and WhatsApp are our go to communication networks. Email me for out new phone numbers and we will send it your way.
Thanks for all the good thoughts coming our way.
Wuxi or not Wuxi...well of course Wuxi!
